Under the direction of an RN or LPN, the Nurse Technician:

• Assists with individualized patient care

??? Training & Development

Our Patient Care Associate Training Program is an accredited U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program, offering hands-on experience in a supportive healthcare environment.

• ??? 175-hour training program provided if no prior experience
• ✅ Training completed during new hire orientation
• ⏱️ Must be completed within 90 days of hire (per state guidelines)
• ??? BLS required within one month of hire
• ✅ PCA competencies completed within 3 months

✅ Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, enrollment in a healthcare high school program, or a current Mercy co-worker
• Experience: None required
• If enrolled in nursing school, please list this on your resume or application

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat

⭐ Preferred Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
